Shayan Farzad
Shayan Farzad is currently a Ph.D. student in the Biomedical Engineering department. He received his B.S degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Bristol, UK and M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering (Wireless Networks) from the University of Southern California. He did a year of research on Sickle Cell Disease cerebrovascular tortuosity using Angiography at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles prior to starting his Ph.D. degree. His main research focus is on computational neuroscience, electrophysiology and medical devices. He is currently involved in modelling and understanding the signaling in the retinal cell layers and multi-scale modeling of the hippocampus.
