The Project:
Here at the Institute for Technology and Medical Systems, you’ll join a team of engineers, scientists, and ophthalmologists leveraging Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality tools to study vision in patients with age-related macular degeneration.
We are looking for self-motivated students with prior object-oriented programming experience to assist in developing and deploying virtual reality environments to assess the impact of the progressive loss of visual field on everyday tasks such as shopping at a grocery store or walking down a sidewalk.
You Have:
-Experience with C++, C#, or other Object-Oriented Language
-Knowledge of both Windows and Linux
-Interest in interdisciplinary work at the intersection of engineering, biology, and medicine.
Nice If You Have:
-Prior Experience with VR Environment Development or Game Development, particularly with the Unity Engine or Unreal Engine.
-Prior Experience working with 3D Modeling Software such as Maya or Blender, or other advanced CAD software.
-Ability to develop Python scripts to support testing activities
